Permanent exhibition of the powerful full-scale “Kakiyama” that runs through the town of Hakata (free zone)

At the Yamakasa hut in front of the entrance of the museum, there is a "Kakiyama" that is the same size as the one actually carried in the Hakata Gion Yamakasa.
Panels also introduce the processes of stick tightening and doll decoration, which are the foundation of the kakiyama.

It is a free permanent exhibition of the life-size "Kakiyama" that was used in the movie "Mentai Piriri".
Please feel the power of doll decorations up close.
